Company History Plateau Software was founded in 1998 by Mr. Brad Kleinfelder and Mr. Darren Ward. Although the two founders came from different professions (a Senior Owner of a fortune 500 Engineering firm (Kleinfelder, Inc.) for Mr. Kleinfelder, and a Computer Software Designer for several High-Tech firms for Mr. Ward) both saw the same unresolved business need, i.e., the ability to manage and use the vast and growing information and knowledge repositories contained in business everywhere. Although the computer made the creation and storage of information simple, the ability to sort through the data and find what you needed was missing. The founders decided that Plateau Software would develop the solution. After two years of research and development, the company’s flagship Knowledge Management program is now on the market and receiving accolades and thanks from all of those who have implemented the program. Perhaps it is time you look into the value added by acquiring KnowledgeScout, or the family of products that are designed for unique market segments.During the past two years, the firm has also created an Environmental Software and Web Management solution for various agencies of the Department of Defense. This program, originally named Assessment Manager has also been renamed by several federal agencies as WINCASS III, and WEBCASS I. Plateau Software has recently won multi-year contracts with the National Oceanographic and Atmospheric Agency (NOAA) and the Army Reserve National Guard (ARNG) for these programs. Other agencies currently evaluating the program include the Regular Army, the Army Reserves, the US Postal Service, the Center for Disease Control (CDC), The US Coast Guard, the Corp of Engineers, the Department of Energy, and other private sector and state and federal organizations. |
