Data Call Management System (DCMS) DCMS is a web based, fully dynamic questionnaire that can be custom designed by the end-user to meet their unique needs. Originally designed to support pre-environmental audit visits, the program has now been expanded for use in virtually any organization looking to gather information. Responders are sent an e-mail requesting their participation in a questionnaire, then their responses are stored in a central database where an unlimited number of reports can be produced instantly. One recent use of the program was initiated by the Coast Guard to identify emergency responders throughout the country. Now when an emergency occurs, the Coast Guard can instantly identify the appropriate responders instantly. An additional feature that is unique to DCMS is the ability to set up parent-child questions. In layman's terms, this means that depending on how a question is answered, the individual answering the question sees different follow-on questions. For example, if the primary question is "do you have a will?", a Yes answer could lead to the question "when was it last updated?". An additional follow-on question could then be asked, for example, if the will is more than five years old, the questionnaire could automatically ask "It appears that your will may be out of date, would you like assistance updating your will?" If the answer to the primary question is No, the follow-on question could be "would you like assistance in setting one up?". There can be as many follow-on questions as the questionnaire developer wants. Based on the answers, the questionnaire manager could run reports such as "which clients need assistance with wills?" and the list would appear. The applications for DCMS are virtually unlimited, (e.g., Human Resources, customer satisfaction, targeted research, marketing, etc.).
