Assessment Manager, (also known as WINCASS III), is a software program designed for use by environmental assessment professionals. The program was initially created in 1999 and sold under the product name of Assessment Manager, (but has been recently renamed as WINCASS III at the request of some agencies of the Department of Defense). The program was designed in accordance with the needs of both environmental consulting firms and various agencies of the Department of Defense (DoD). At the start of the program, the user selects "New Database", "Open Database" for existing audit information, or "Merge Projects" which combines the individual work of multiple assessment teams into a common database. Once the Database is completed and merged, the database can be uploaded to the Web based management tool "Web Hosted Assessment Manager" (WHAM), (Also known as WEBCASS I to DoD users).
